Our Slice of Texas Hill Country Heaven
We’re lucky to call a beautiful corner of the Texas Hill Country our home. Picture rolling hills covered in wildflowers, winding rivers, and big Texas skies that stretch as far as the eye can see. That’s our backyard!
Our little town might be small, but it’s bursting with charm and family-friendly fun. Just a short drive away, we have:
Parks: We love spending weekends at our local parks. There’s a big one right by the river where kids can splash in the water, have picnics, and play on the playground. It’s perfect for those hot Texas summer days!
Museums: For rainy days or when we’re in the mood to learn something new, we have a few cool museums nearby. There’s one all about the history of our area, and another that showcases local art. We even have the Texas Rangers Museum, which is really exciting for history buffs! These museums often have special activities for kids.
Schools: While we choose to homeschool, our town has great public and private school options. There’s a strong sense of community support for education here.
Farms: Living in the Hill Country means we’re surrounded by farms and ranches. We love taking drives to see the cows, goats, and even exotic animals like zebras on some of the nearby ranches. It’s like a safari in our own backyard!
Wildlife: Speaking of animals, we see all sorts of critters right from our porch! Deer often wander through our yard, and we’ve spotted armadillos and roadrunners. Birdwatchers would be in heaven here with all the different species that call our area home.
Events: Our town loves to celebrate! Throughout the year, we have fun festivals like a chalk art event, free concerts in the park, and outdoor movie nights. These events really bring our community together.
Nature: We’re blessed to live near some of the most beautiful natural areas in Texas. There are hiking trails, camping spots, and places to go kayaking or tubing down the river. It’s like having a nature playground right at our doorstep.
We love that our home gives us the best of both worlds - the peace and beauty of country living, with all the amenities and community spirit of a friendly small town. It’s the perfect place to raise a family, and we can’t wait to share all these adventures with a new little one!
