Hello Expectant Parents!

Thank you for taking time to read about us. We know that choosing the people to raise your baby is a hard decision for you. We will raise your child with love and acceptance for who they are in a safe home. We look forward to parenting and the opportunities to help a child learn and explore. We promise to do all that we can to care for your child so that they can grow up with a happy life ahead of them.

Here's a bit about us! We are Andrew and Glenna, and have been married for ten happy years and have a cottage together with a large garden full of vegetables, berry bushes, fruit trees, and flowers. We are seeking to adopt due to infertility and because we wish to expand our family and share the love. Many of our family and friends are neurodivergent or have physical or mental disabilities, so we are very used to helping them and being accommodating to their various needs.

Andrew has a Bachelors in Computer Science, and works from home as a Senior Software Developer. He is the youngest of eight children and has many nieces and nephews, including one that is adopted. Glenna has a Bachelors of Business Administration, and she runs a small online business with a friend making doll clothing and accessories. She is the oldest of three children and has several fur nieces.

We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and do a lot of volunteering at our church. We have a pet western hognose snake named Chocolate Chip, and he loves chin rubs and digging around in his enclosure. He’s a very sweet boy who likes watching Youtube and video games we are playing.

Hobbies and Fun Things We Enjoy:

We play Dungeons and Dragons with our friends once or twice per week and have a lot of fun telling stories together.
We are part of the SCA (a non-profit educational medieval reenactment group) and enjoy learning about history, especially when there is new information on the subjects. We attend events in period garb, participate in crafts, and do service with the goal of educating people about our shared past.
Andrew loves to garden and grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers in our yard.
Glenna likes to do fiber arts, such as knitting, spinning yarn, sewing, and weaving.
We both like to play video and board games with friends and family.
We like to travel and see historic and natural wonders when we visit family or friends.
We love museums, zoos, aquariums, festivals, etc. of all kinds.
Glenna loves music and is a classically trained singer who sings in our church choir.
We both love to cook, bake, and grill on our back patio.

Who We Are

Andrew and I (Glenna) met at church the day after I moved to Utah to start fresh and started dating a month later. We love being able to talk about anything: history, our thoughts and feelings, hobbies, and hopes together. We value each other's intellect and good heart and strive to keep that going in each other and those around us.

Adoption Diary

Busy times

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Glenna and I renewed our adoption home study and then immediately left for Reno to see some family, then turn around and go back home for Independence Day. Actually, between that and 4th of July celebrations, we have seen quite a lot of family members. In Reno we saw some of Glenna’s family. However, it was cut short due to Glenna’s aunt having a medical problem (she is ok now, btw). This meant we were able to have Glenna’s brother Kyle over to visit us for the 4th. Kyle has been our biggest supporter of adoption, especially since he really wants to be an uncle.
I hope you have had a good week and we will update you later!

Fun Evening with Our Niblings!

Andrew and I decided to take our nieces and nephew for a night to give their parents a break. The oldest daughter is 7, the middle son is 4, and the baby girl is 18 months old, so we had a fun range of ages! They were really excited to play Minecraft with Andrew, so we did spend a lot of time doing that, letting them fight the monsters and build houses with pink beds.

They were silly beans for dinner, but they did eat most of their plates and only smeared a moderate amount of mac and cheese on the chairs. We got a ton of hugs and cuddles, and we had intended to take them outside to play but the weather had other ideas and rained us in.

It was a shock to us, since these kids are fussy for bedtime a lot, that we got all three of them asleep by 9pm in their own sleeping spaces on the couches. Definitely a win! The youngest especially doesn’t like to sleep alone because she doesn’t want to miss out on anything that might be happening.

In the morning, Andrew sent the kids in to wake me up for pancake breakfast, and they were giggling in the cutest way. We all had breakfast, played blocks, more Minecraft, tooth and hair brushing, and they cleaned up the toys when it was time to head home. There were some typical sibling squabbles, but nothing too serious or that we felt we couldn’t handle.

It was a small taste of what we hope our future to be, if you choose us.
